At the end of the day if we continue chasing after lost souls where will our souls be? Those who can be saved should but...our own sacrifices should be tempered.
You have a family, children and a man you love. There seems no sense in risking all that for someone who refuses to be helped.
Something that the military told me is that you cannot save everyone.
If she does not want to be helped by our rather accepting and warm family, then fine. I'm done, and I'm pretty sure even Horatio of all people has given up on her.
But, you are right. It's not heartless it's logical. We can much more effectively use our time to help those who want it then to force our ideals on those who don't.
There's giving up, and then there's recognizing a lost cause. Reminds me of this case Cathrine worked once... twelve year old girl started having emotional problems, parents got all worked up and called in an exorcist thinking she was possessed. Kid sister and parents wind up dead. We learn at the last damn minute the girl was the one who killed them, not the exorcist. And just because she was pissed off at that.
Kira obviously started out with 'issues' and progressed right in to serious effin' problems.
Yelling was a bit unneeded, but I don't blame you at all.
We all do. She knows us, knows where we live, even knows that we've got children. I think you need to inform Lorne that she's moved up to potential threat.
You've got it back, don't worry about that. Worry about the fact that being maternal with her hasn't helped a damn bit.
I get that about every other week. Face it, Greggo. You may be the resident pretty boy, but the majority of the population goes after rugged good looks.
Regardless, you're the one without a girlfriend, standing there saying that.
I don't know, Nick, I'd say that people also like the dorky ones. After all, General Mustang got Major Hawkeye who's pretty much a no-nonsense kind of woman.
Gezz, good set of lungs you got there Sabine. However before you continue, I recommend you get the rest of the story from Miria. After all she did pursue Kira.
I sat her front our TV to watch some children's show about a blue colored plotmon who goes about planting blue paw prints on random objects. She needed something to cheer her up after talking about Kira. That topic is practically an on switch for depression right now.
Fanbeemon told me that the whole situation with Kira's making you depressed, so... do you want to tell me the whole story so that I have a better understanding of just what went down?
Umm, well when I saw Kira's post I thought something was wrong with her. Something just didn't add up, she never had that kind of... backbone. She'd always been a bit of a scaredy cat, I even had to spend the night with her once. I was sure something was wrong with Kira.
So I traced the signal to D'ango Forest and hunted her down. I found her with a man named Ranma. I quickly confronted Kira about her post, but she reacted harshly to my presence. She even dark evolved Renamon into a Youkomon.
She took my arrival as a threat to any furthering of her plans. I didn't even have my weapons out at that point. However, Ranma stepped in claiming that he had promised to train her, and claimed that no matter what he was doing to train Kira and Renamon. He didn't even budge even a little bit when I showed him evidence.
However he did promise that he would accept responsibility for their actions...
*off in the background* Miria you had better come clean with this. It will mean that they can't use it against you. Hey Sabine if you hear me, let Miria finish completely.
...Sabine, would would you please... I'm just worried that I really screwed up. When Ranma made his promise, Youkomon threatened me and Fanbeemon. I was... I didn't have... I just wasn't thinking straight. I was angry, and I had Fanbeemon provoke Youkomon. At the same time I wanted Ranma to prove he could keep Youkomon under control. I asked him, by text message, to intercept Youkomon when she attacked. In the end Youkomon didn't carry out her threat, and I ended up tarnishing the name of DATS further by my actions...
*Starting to cry* I'm sorry! I'm so sorry for messing up! I know I shouldn't have behaved that way!
(OOC: Fanbeemon is in the same room with her, so he can overhear part of the conversation. I hope this isn't problem. o_o;)
I see, and just calm down, Miria, okay? I don't think that you screwed up. All this will require is some investigation into just why she went into something like this. If anything, you're helping to save your friend from damning herself further.

If she wants to come back, she can come back, but not before she goes through a lashing from me.
