I think... it's a game she plays. She preys on the human instinct of needing and wanting to be taken care of, even as adults, especially if it's something you've lost and haven't had for a long time...

I don't know what her game is, but anyone who willingly drags a person's emotions through the dirt just to 'make them happy' with her brand of caring isn't some one I want any of my family to be around.

People coming from the future and past and alternate universes and from beyond the grave, computer glitches that make us sing or swap genders, there is a tree that grows entire roast chickens.
